Yep. Rock solid and comfortable. Added them to my scout solo.
they are rock solid, and comfortable. plenty wide for your feet to feel comfortable, and light weight. the only downside i would say with them is that they are kinda bulky

squirrel steps are also worth looking at too, thats what i went with instead, they are smaller, but i like them better i think. they are more pricey.

Treehopper hit a home run with the tree steps. They are rock solid, light, and pack well! The tree steps have a larger footing platform than SS as well as the wings provide a solid, sturdy footing and I have not had any movement from side pressure! They are surprisingly light weight, but I am old fashion and do not like the ocb's so I continue to use a hd ratchet strap and 4 steps, which make a great ROS. I would highly recommend them over some of the others out on the market, especially for the cost......just my 2cents!
Do you have any problems using them on the scout strap? Just ordered the solo scout and already have 5 treehopper steps
I haven’t had any problems messing with it so far. Platform and steps are solid when properly set. I do 2 steps at 3 and 9 o’clock.
Never used the squirrel steps actually. Interested in the new S3 version though. Trying to align the steps and platform all together is the only tricky thing and with the S3 steps that fiddle factor would go away.
Hey I ordered a couple tree hopper steps to go with my scout solo on Monday or Tuesday. The money come out of my paypal but I haven’t got an order email confirmation from tree hopper or anything, just from PayPal. For those that have ordered before does it usually take awhile?
I ordered them today to go along with my artisan platform and hawk sticks. I’m sure the quality is top notch and you can’t beat the price.
Agree with Jay - on all points. My feet get fatigued on narrow steps like squirrel steps (SS). I still have a set of SS to give me options, but the Treehopper steps are my favorite ones. They have double the area vs. SS to reduce pressure on the foot; They are great quality; They don’t need Camoform tape to keep them quiet (they’re quiet as-is unless you’re really clumsy); They have excellent tread surfaces for interfacing your boot and the tree; And the low price point is a bonus! The only downside vs. SS is the bulk, but that’s fairly minor when they’re properly nested for transport.
Now if Treehopper will just come out with a step that has a slot for vertical insertion onto a platform strap (like the SS “S3” version offered by Eastern Woods Outdoors), he’ll have the most comfortable steps for all applications!
Before someone says that you can cut your own S3-style slots in his existing steps, I’ll remind you that these are plastic and Treehopper will probably need to beef up the high stress areas on the step if he offers an S3-style slot configuration to ensure they maintain their strength. I wouldn’t trust the load capacity or fatigue durability of self-modified Treehopper steps.

Got my 2 treehopper steps to go with my solo scout. Wow! I really really like this set up a lot. I think I am going to really like it
