Has anyone had theirs break? Mine broke today on a trial run in my yard. I am new to the saddle, is anyone going with a stainless/aluminum biner? Any suggestions, should I just go back with the #2 nite ize plastic biner?

I was wondering about that because it appears they only have a 10 lb load limit. The other day I accidentally unclipped one and it fell from the tree and couldn’t find it. Had to remove one of my accessory clips to use temporarily which worked fine. I ordered four # 2 Nite Ize s-biners for replacements in case I lose more in the future. Thinking I should have waited a bit and explored other options.
I replaced with the same niteize s biners

awesome. I just pulled the trigger on the back band after the good reviews. I guess I should have waited.

I agree it adds comfort. I had one when I owned a couple evolutions and ended up selling it to flinginairos when I got rid of the size 2. That one didn't have S biners. I was using cheap aluminum ones. It's still worth it. It adds a good bit of comfort to the sit in the kestrel. My nite-ize didn't give me an issue, but I saw the thread, and figured i'd go ahead and swap to be safe. I'm considering permanently attaching the backband straps to the prussics. I'm going to hunt a few times without removing the band and see if it causes me any grief.
Mine are still goodmine broke and I threw it out
I just replaced them with heavier sbiners... the backstrap is great otherwise. Not sure how such a light sbiner will hold a 200 pound man leaning back. It was no problem that it broke... a non safety issue.Mine are still good
sounds like these are destined to break. great. what ones did you get? #3 stainless?I just replaced them with heavier sbiners... the backstrap is great otherwise. Not sure how such a light sbiner will hold a 200 pound man leaning back. It was no problem that it broke... a non safety issue.
