Yes, it's big enough for that as long as you don't have a lot of layers, but the flimsy straps aren't great for carrying weight.
I put a sleeping bag pad cutoff in the back to give it some form.
And yes, you can lash items to the back. but just remember...floppy straps, no frame.
I had considered putting an EVA Foam stiffener in it but never got around to it.

Carries hydration bladder, has just enough frame and straps to carry a saddle rig, water and some layers, top front compartment for calls, outside stuff flaps with organizer compartments for Binos, Glasses, Jackets/Layers, outer side pouches for thermos, quiver, big main compartment.
It isn't tiny on a tree, but I can carry my saddle and layers in the winter or Leafy poncho, Hammock, Lunch and Turkey decoys in the spring
The material is quiet but not as quiet as fleece. And zippers are always going to make some noise.

I struggle with packs a lot. I've not found one that works perfectly. My Alps Outdoorz Pursuit Pack was working really well until I started carrying camera gear. Now I'm back to square 1.
Been using this for the past year and gonna use it this year possibly. goes around the waist and can twist it around to the front if you're just carrying the small stuff.. rangefindr, calls, s**t rags, knife, drink, snacks, headlamp, hawk bow holder, extra batteries, folding saw, tree clippers all fits snuggly in this little bag. I like it, and its super cheap.

The tenzing tz3000 is what i was using to film. Had more than enough space for everything but I have not filmed much because with the heat i got lazy. (Lol i know you got it worse than me with the heat)
I recently picked up a badlands silent reaper. I haven't hunted with it yet, but it seems to be able to organize me gear and carry it out nicely. Late season will require a bigger pack to deal with extra clothes, but so far I like it.

Ernie, how are you attaching your platform (I think) to the front of the pack?
I ordered a Day One Pack.... gonna see how it works.
Thing about Badlands and similar packs are they weigh 3 plus pounds or so..... I know it gives them structure but it makes for a bulky pack in the tree and heavy when loaded.
The Kathy Kelly is light but flimsy. I do t like the camo pattern she offers either.... To dark.
Hopefully the Day One will work... we will see.

I like my Cabela's Transporter Lumbar pack with shoulder straps, keeps you carrying just the things you need with enough room to stash a layer or two if you use the outside compression straps which is useful in the south where you just cant hike in with a jacket and not sweat, but don't wanna be cold once you get set up. I have even quatered(or de-boned) out a deer using it by putting the meat in a game bag and setting it in the main compartment with the lid open and lashing it to the shoulder straps, works pretty well surprisingly.

How much does your set up weigh?I use a 5.11 Rush 12
It fits my saddle, water, linesman belts, etc inside and I strap my spurs to the outside.

Interested in what others are using also. I have a cabelas bird bag (not sure the exact name) that works perfect for carrying 3 muddy sticks in the back. It has two straps attached to a flap that covers 3/4 of the back of the pack (the bird pouch). It has two other small pockets on the outside that I carry a head lamp and handheld light, wind checker, rangefinder, back up release, bag of tp and license and can fit a small lunch. It also has one larger pocket on the inside that is really only accessible after the sticks are removed because it has a narrow opening from the top that I carry a water bottle and my knee pads.
This works fine for early season when not carrying rattling devices, calls, binos, and a larger "snack" and water along with clothing layers. It has bed rolls but I like to keep my layers dry and not full of mud and stick tights.
I'm trying to decide if I want to add a small pack to this one or find a new one. I like how small it is in the tree but with out much storage it is mainly just a nice stick carrier. I just can't find the perfect pack.
I was checking out the packs with weapons carrying options but don't really know if I would use it. Anyone who has a pack that can carry a bow actually carry a bow on it?

I do. I like having my hands free as I sometimes ride a bicycle. Sometimes, I carry my bow on a handlebar rack and other times, in my Eberlestock pack. Either way, I rarely carry a bow in my hands anymore on my way in.
