I'm going back to stand hunting sold all my saddle gear. I think the .5 with 3 32inch sticks and 1 aider works best for me. Probably use my Helo for all day sits and .5 with rock harnesses with a prusic and tether.View attachment 83668
Most of my hunts are done the same way. I use 3 full length LW sticks that I have added EWO double steps. An aider can get me a little higher if needed. For my handgun I use an old old old LW that is really light. Not sure what model it is. I mostly use my RCH but sometimes where the saddle.

I don’t know what I’m doing anymore. I have millennium M7 and a RCH and grabbing a mini drey from @Horn. So maybe a hybrid deal?

I am starting to question why I saddle hunt.
1. My saddle hunting set up weighs 4 lbs more then my .75.
2. Any tree I can hunt with my saddle I can hunt with my .75. Their are trees I can hunt with my .75 that I cannot hunt with a saddle set up.
3. I move less in a stand. Warmer in cold weather. Drier when it rains, I use a tree umbrella.
New Wolf Pack is on my list.

I not a fan of some of this guys early videos. But IMO he is spot on in this one.

My stand experience is mostly using a climber although I have used a hang on a handful of times. Getting away from lugging that climber is what got me in a saddle. At the end of last season I bought a .5 and a .75 to see if I liked them. I also picked up a Wolfpack and rigged my .75 with the Kuiu frame. If this works out, it’s going to be easier and lighter than the saddle setup.

I'm using my .5 with 3 /32inch OG LW sticks with 1/ 22inch aider on bottom stick. My Helo for long sits with a rock harnesses. I can shoot behind me just like a saddle. I just started using the wingman safety system and is the safest way to stand hunt.Screenshot_20230421-185842_Chrome.jpg

How do you like that Wolf Pack?
I have a Fanatic pack, but I don't like the layout.
Thinking the Wolf Pack would also work on my Waldrop Pac Seat.

I like the Wolfpack. It seems well organized and thought out. It’s pricey though. I think that little XOP pack for $70 may have done just as well if you’re on a budget.

I guess it would need to be loose to function as designed?
You can roll it up and put in the fanny bag leve the bag open I have used it works awesome just need to adjust for your body weight. I purchase here on classified best safety equipment I ever bought!!!

I would think it's the preferred way to prevent anything from binding and locking up the device.

It weighs 1.4lbs too.

I can't access the usermanual online. Does it state this is acceptable?

I thought this might be smart for my Dad, but someone pointed out the long length of webbing just flopping in the wind.
The webbing is really heavy duty you can leave hanging by your sticks it doesn't really move unless you have high winds or roll it up and put in your pack the instructions say. It definitely works I'm really happy with it.
