I’m from near Buffalo, old school and in the precipice of ethic European culture clashes. We have a place called the Broadway Market that is rich with ethnic foods from the old country. Polish sausage, Italian sausage, German bologna, bratwurst, blood sausage…. Head cheese….. all of that stuff used to never go to waste back in the day. So yeah a little wiener juice is pretty innocuous when you think about it. Anybody ever have blood soup?
There's an off-color joke in there someplace. Maybe someone else can find it...“Eat the weiners then drink the juice!!!
You might be on to something here. Maybe re-hydrate a portion of jerky in some hot water or broth or tomato soup; by the time it's re-hydrated you'd have something close to chili.Something about a hot salty broth sounds good. Middle of summer? Eh. Frozen out in the woods. Oh yeah!
It’s actually of Polish origins with a polish name but it escapes me. Literally it is like a thick dark soup with onion in it. Here some more info on it I just duck duck go’d: https://www.thespruceeats.com/polish-duck-or-goose-blood-soup-1137135Blood soup sounds like a heavy metal song title...

If it’s good for Gene it’s good for me!"Eat the wieners then drink the juice"

Don’t be a Weinershnitzel !@woodsdog2. I’m sorry I brought the hotdog heat down on you. Might change your name to hotdog2
Kilt a deer too.Opening day here in Tennessee tomorrow, picked me up a double decker fudge round at the store today in y’all’s honor for the first sit. #youinspireme
If you dont like chocolate gravy and biscuits, your liker is fubar. All I know is there is some voodoo involved in making it taste right. I’m surprised anyone but Btaylor knows what it is.
Cocoa powder and sugar mixed well, split the liquid equal parts whole milk and half & half, teaspoon of vanilla, mix up a slurry of cornstarch and water to thicken the gravy, and butter to finish.Ha! I know it has Hershey's cocoa, butter, sugar and a few other ingredients you bring to a boil and then let it cool slighly. The best is what we call”cottage pudding” which is this sauce we pour all over a big slice of plain yellow cake. It’s great on ice cream too but too much and you get smelted mess.
Homemade, I would agree. Peach or chocolate chip/pecan please.During a discussion with my daughter this weekend, she reminded me Little Debbie makes fried pies. Either apple or cherry pie gets my vote, hands down.
There's no beating a fried pie, not even with hot dog water.
Wait!? Spam and balogna are for people? We always fed that to the dogs and chickens
I was born and raised in Louisiana and was homeless with my mom until I was 10 or 11 and there’s some crazy/sketchy stuff we ate but some of you guys are on a different planet lolI'm with you on the Spam, but being from the south I was raised on fried bologna sammiches. Or Jumbo to yinz from da 'burgh.
I do, however, like the bacon flavored spam. Bacon makes everything better
Anybody like potted meat? Looks like cat food, smells worse, but man that stuff is good slathered on some saltiness crackers or even a sandwich with mayo.
Another favorite of mine, is Peanut butter and Mayo sandwiches. Alot of people say yuk, but I was raised on them and love them. It's a leftover thing from the depression Era from what I understand.
