The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. Starting in 2020 only SH Members will be admitted to the annual hunting contest. Current members will need to follow these steps to upgrade: 1. Click on your username 2. Click on Account upgrades 3. Choose SH Member and purchase.

Well considering they are a small operation ie hand crafted the higher the cost. Basic supply and demand. The more demand there is for a specialty item, the higher the selling point; with low production or specialty products there are higher costs.
Your thinking is correct with mass production. Anyway, I will be glad to wait. How many platforms does a man need to have.

That is what we all are saddle hunters. ...Not left wing and not right wing but swinging in the tree winged saddle hunters. Each with their new fancy platform or saddle nest. One nest per household.

I always used steps for my platform but I might change over depending on what is made .
I currently use the wild edge stepps. I still struggle with getting them level for a platform even after watching the videos and therefore often hunt with them a little off. That being said I'm still looking for a platform I love. I have read on here cranford, xop, and wild edge are all working on this issue with the increase in saddle hunting. I now also noticed members here have one in the works. Excited for all these options but now I'm worried I'll buy one and like a different one better after its released. Is there a spot to check for available dates and prices when known?
If you can find some ameristep they make a great platform. I use 4 to 5 on a ratchet strap . They are a little pricey but are worth it . I like that I can walk all around the tree for a shot and they are lite.
