    I didn’t allow myself near as much time to hunt this year as I would’ve liked. Passed a 160ish 10 the first 5 minutes of the first day I hunted this year (Nov. 4th) and an 150s 8 the next morning and have been questioning those decisions ever since. Season not over yet though.

    Sure looks like an arrow shaft sticking up out of it on the left side of his throat patch. You can see it clearly in the first and third pics. Either an arrow or a stick, but definitely something sticking out of him causing a huge abscess.

    Slapped this together in an hour after visualizing it while daydreaming in a tree. Not sure if this has been done before, but this is what I came up with: Very sturdy and stable with notwisting. I used a Leverage stick, but any stick with a double step should work. The only tweak I might...

    The stand tether is around the tree with a girth hitch a foot or so above the platform.

    Only one way to find out... It looks like it should work. You may have issues with the platform kicking sideways if you don’t have your weight distributed evenly.

    I’m pretty sure Greg Godfrey was stationed there for awhile before he went to Fort Bragg. Maybe that is common knowledge. My Great-granddad, granddad, and great uncle were all in the 10th MT Division in WWII and all were very successful hunters in their time, but weren’t saddle hunters.
