    I’ve heard of that but didn’t realize that was attached or hooked on the top step. Always something new to learn. Everyone has their own way and ideas. Great place to learn. Thanks for the pics and warning. I’ll definitely keep an eye on my sticks.

    I agree! The material above the mounting bolt should have been left alone. The machined V above the bolt causes a weak point no doubt.

    Both pictures look as if the top step broke. I’ve never seen an aider attached to the top step. In my head that would make the aider (single step for sure) basically useless.
