Vortex fury hd rangefinding binoculars 10x42

Do they range to 1600 yards or 5000? That's the difference. Should say on the box.

    Bino Upgrade?

I have Swaro SLC 10 x 42 and Zeiss Terra 8 x 32. I carry the Zeiss most of the time. SLC is like a boat anchor around my neck. Leupold makes my favorite scopes so no doubt their Binos are top notch.

    Trad Guys.... Need broadhead recommendations

Zwickey Delta, Magnus, any large 2 blade glued true to shaft or adapter with helical feathers will go right through a whitetail. Don't need single bevel. I sharpen them to shave. Several deer have just stood there after pass through.

    Traditional arrow?

I've been shooting recurves and longbows since '89. I agree VT.....to a point. I have seen some awful arrow/bow/broadhead combinations in my time though. Hard to stay interested when you can't hit the broad side of a barn. Fighting your equipment can be a frustration. A mentor would be a big plus.

    Traditional arrow?

In addition to increased FOC which has definitely been a benefit for me with my recurve and crossbow, the greater benefit of a heavy broad head is to increase flex/weaken your shaft so it can get the proper paradox to bend around your riser. It has to be in the correct range for optimal arrow...

    Traditional arrow?

I had nothing but problems with carbon arrows....because They are just too stiff. I tried 400s....kept adding weight to the front. I even put liners in them to get the gpi up. They just kept clacking on my riser....not enough flex. Only when I went to the 500 series did things turn around. For...

    Traditional arrow?

Love the wooden arrow thing too, but practicality made me choose carbon. More consistent, tougher, etc. I shoot my recurve and longbow because of the simplicity. I worked in an archery shop for 4 years many moons ago and I worked on enough compounds to last me the rest of my life. I love...

    Traditional arrow?

I shoot a 500 spine carbon with a normal insert and 200 grain broadheads. I glued inserts in at full length and experimented until I got the best arrow flight. My recurve and longbow are both 54# @28" I draw 27" and the arrows ended up 30" long. They fly great out of both bows.

What's your favorite saddle hunting firearm for whitetails?

I like my Winchester Lever 94 AE in 44 mag with a Skinner peep and 16" barrel or my MechTech 10 mm Glock carbine with paratrooper stock and a Vortex Crossfire red dot or my scoped Contender in 7-30 Waters.
