Has anyone heard of BullPath?
Just of last year they publicly released their first lines of saddles and other gear that I would love to review down the road.
For the time being I will be comparing my experience between the infamous Tethrd Phantom and the BullThreat V.1 Saddle.
-
For a background story my first saddle I ever hunted with has been the Phantom .
I utilized that saddle for 2 years with plenty of success and many of sits with it.
The BullThreat I hunted 1 year out of with success as well . Here is my breakdown between the two.
-
Affordability
The Tethrd Phantom comes out around $230
The BullThreat comes out around $240 when on sale and $270 when not on sale.
The Phantom comes out as the clear winner at the Affordability department but not by a lot.
Craftsmanship and origin of material source
The Phantom and the BullThreat V.1 are both sewn in America , but there is a major difference between the two.
BullPath is very transparent and open about how they source their materials , the build quality, and has a series called " Behind the Scenes " showing the process of them constructing every piece of gear they offer in house.
Not only does BullPath utilize all American Material for the products , they are dedicated to keep it that way forever.
Tethrd on the other hand has everything made in China except for their saddles and platforms . I'm not even sure if the materials they use for their saddles are American Sourced.
It is a complete difference in build quality and the quality materials BullPath uses compared to any Tethrd Product. I wouldn't be surprised if BullPath raised their prices here in the next year.
Comfortability
Lastly I want to discuss is the comfortabilty .
Between the phantom and the BullThreat, it is a very clear decision on which one is the most comfortable.
The BullThreat is bigger than the Phantom is the width and height department. Definetly helps covering a lot of your back end and reducing pressure points compared to the Tethrd Saddle.
The Phantom in my experience was very painful to use and the comfort was not close to what I expected.
The adjustments for the bridge is 100x better in my experience on the BullThreat Saddle as well.
I definitely am not a fan of being limited to 4-5 different balls on the Phantom to adjust the saddle.
The BullThreat , you have 9 inches of complete adjustability to dial in what you like. You can even make mm micro adjustments , it's that good.
Did I also say the build quality on the BullThreat gives me ten times the confidence up in a tree ?
