scent lok 'mid' season vs 'late' season clothing

I own a scent lok suit "mid" season. It's the full season line. I wear this starting mid/late oct. (mich) and try to continue through nov just with more layers under. I do not enjoy the multi layer option so much. Just personal preference, I would rather have min layers with a 'fuller' outer...

Sling options for carbine pump rifle

It's a 760. The previous owner had a barrel band on the rifle and took it off b/c he claimed it caused the gun to shoot inaccurately... I wanted to put one back on b/c I need to be able to get up a tree with it.

    ameristep step #109

I picked up 20 of these for $1 each. They have "ameristep #109" etched on them. They do not look like the currently sold ameristep steps though. They have tapered threads, similar to the cranford "rod" screw in step... Does anyone know what era these came from?

Thinking about presets for next season... Advice?

Good ideas here. Different, but all have reasons and most are thought out to what works for them. Imagine your scenario and think through a plan that works in that spot. Change the next season if you think you could improve. Scouting, finding a tree and setting up are part of the fun. If you...

    New models for 2020?

You bet! Lots of options outside tethrd too. You can get a mantis now or wait for a 2020...

Why am I being blocked from all posts related to Tethrd

Phase 2 wont solve the overarching problems that cant help but begin with a growing website that exists WITHIN a growing aspect of bowhunting (mobile/lightweight). The real problems are egos and self glory needs. I point the finger in no direction, it's to all. I have been here since 2015. Not...

    Muzzleloader Rust

Thanks. Years ago, these pyrodex pellets were what was recommended to me. Finally down to the last of the pellets and can try something different... I do like the convenience of the pellets.

    Muzzleloader Rust

Pretty light, to moderate closest to the end of the barrel. Steel wool with a rod attachment? Could a bore brush do the same or is that not good for the rifling?

    Muzzleloader Rust

Very good. Keep that up it's worth it. Life happens unfortunately... Looking for solutions for the point I am at. I don't think it's irrecoverable, just need to make sure my next move is wise.

    Muzzleloader Rust

I have a .50 cal remington muzzleloader that has developed at least some interior rust/corrosion inside the bore. I don't always hunt with it in the late season (sometimes just bowhunt that season). The propellant has been pyrodex pellets. Rifle had been used and cleaned faithfully for 6 years...

    Vortex Solo - Monocular

Can you explain the ranging reticle? Is this for long range or bowhunting applicable?

    Vortex Solo - Monocular

The light gathering ability of larger objectives makes sense. It's the money... :) If the 10x25 can at least be worth trying, the cost savings is worth it to me. It's a classic case of balance we all try for in gear selection: purpose/quality/performance/MONEY.

    Vortex Solo - Monocular

    Thanks, that is helpful.

    Vortex Solo - Monocular

Questions to those who own one: 1. Are they pocket size and one hand operation? * I like the thought of both these ideas... 2. 10x25 combo for bowhunting? * It's a big price jump to the 10x36... 3. Low light? 4. Other recommendations/thoughts?

    base layers

What is the most affordable merino wool brands out there?
  19. L

    base layers

what does the merino offer that synthetic doesn't and viceaversa? Price different? For bowhutning, what I really desire is to wear the base layers and then my activated carbon suit over that. I would ideally want to eliminate all my mid layers that I have relied on because i needed the extra...

    base layers

I am looking at replacing my current base layers with something new. I do not need it to be activated carbon (I wear that as my outer layer) and really would be prefer it not carbon. Base layers are worn against the skin and will need regular washing. I would like advice on what is the best...
