Jokes and Memes - NO POLITICS

Knowing my luck I'd be in a hurry to answer nature's call and there would be a copperhead coiled up in there! BT

How many times did you punch yourself

The pursuit is nice but the Apex is a good step up if you can find one to try. I suggest trying a few at a local bow shop before settling on one. Keep in mind when trying them out that your peep will be off because your anchor point is a little different. BT

How many times did you punch yourself

+1 on the Scott Pursuit. Really good thumb button release. I took the wrist strap off mine. Used it for awhile, but ended up picking up a Scott Apex, because I wanted something that felt a little more like my Scott Ascent hinge release i use on my target bow. I dont trust myself with a hinge for...

    Subtle safety reminder

Yup. Watch for deadfalls and branches above you too. I've had to change trees after climbing in the dark, then upon daylight looking up and seeing a big dead branch hanging across some limbs overhead. One day I just completely left the woods. Was sitting at the base of a tree, and the wind...

I haven't tried bareshafting that far but now I want to! BT

    Whats your preferred tuning method?

You must be doing something right! I stumbled across that long range thread earlier and saw some of your 100+ yard groups. Holy cow, man! BT

    Whats your preferred tuning method?

It depends I guess. There's been quite a few instances with Elite anyways where shimming has been required. I can get rid of my tear with the SET tech, but its maxed out to one side. I don't like running it that way. So I choose to shim. Normally it's as simple as swapping one shim from one side...

    Sight & Rest Suggestions

I just put a ripcord on mine and I'm really liking it so far. They have a new model out now called the Ratchet, which if I'm not mistaken, has the same containment style as their previous models, but is available in a limb driven model that can be cocked like a cable driven rest. BT

Fess up, who hasn't shot their bow since last season ended?

I tore mine down after season was over and sent it to be hydrodipped. Got it back awhile ago, put it all together, and just this week have started the tuning process so I can start shooting daily again. BT

    2024 Gear thread

I've got some but haven't climbed with it yet. Been too busy lately with all the end of year school stuff and 3 kids. When I do have time, the weather is nasty. There's another thread in this forum with 8mm predator rope as the title that I started and some people have chimed in there. Other...

    Whats your preferred tuning method?

Shooting at different dots - Yes! After my first Robin hood and ruining 2 expensive arrows I learned to do this haha. I see similar results after the first paper tune. If it's done right, those results carry on to the rest of the tuning. I've always just cut from the front of my shafts, but...

    Detachable bino harness

Do you wear a turkey vest or keep a backpack on? Could try adding the opposite buckle that's on your pouch to the straps on the backpack or vest and detach it from there. Forget the harness all together. Or like @boxerboxer said, you could always reach out to Jerry. I'm sure he could come up...

    Whats your preferred tuning method?

White butcher paper. I tried some cheap brown stuff from the paint section at lowes, but it was too thin and tore too easy. Also tried wax paper, which I felt was too thick. This stuff seems to be just right and shows good details on the tears...

    Whats your preferred tuning method?

In the process of getting my Elite Enkore back into tune after getting it dipped and new strings. Was just curious what everyone here likes to do when tuning their bows. I have a pretty lengthy process, but I'm also OCD about stuff like this. I start with a nock tuned bareshaft in the same...
