'Fess Up, Who Hunts out of a Prius?

Your accurate in my hunting areas. Most of the area is rural changing to suburban environment. Still plenty deer to hunt. If it's rough terrain, I walk or paddle into the areas. Few areas in the northeast/ New England aside from Maine require 4x4. Prius will definitely not work in your...

'Fess Up, Who Hunts out of a Prius?

Use to hunt out of a 2012 plugin Prius. It was great other than the seats sucked. I would drive up to the walk in point with electric - no noise. Was loading a doe into the back at a local multi use spot and had a couple of really odd stares from people. Switched to a tundra and really...

    Cheap tree harness.

Looks pretty nice in the picture. I like inexpensive, but quality control does cost money. I can't grasp the idea of risking harness failure in the tree at 25 feet.

This was one of the bucks from last year during muzzleloader season. The shot was about 60 yards out of the kayak. I love floating out deer, it's a lot easier than dragging.

    Off Season Tree Prepping

Hi Group, Deer season is finishing up next week and I have had a great season with 3 does in the freezer. I am looking to next year's season and will be starting to prep trees to hunt with my saddle. I would really like to prep about 7 to 8 oaks that are within 30 yards of apple trees. All...

    Boat advice

I agree. I did change the seat position and the stability is greatly improved. Consider moving the seat about 4 inch's forward and about 2 inch's down. The canoe paddles amazing now. This winter I am adding a spray skirt and maybe sponsons.

    Hello from NH

Hi saddle hunters, This year is my first year hunting/hanging out of the Aero hunter evolution. All I can say is it's amazing!!! I had a bit of a learning curve in getting into the trees but the light weight, quietness and safety of the harness made me stick with it. On my 10th sit/hang I...

    Boat advice

Stick with a short solo canoe and inflatable boat packed into the solo canoe. You will have better maneuverability in the narrow portions of the river. Consider a plastic boat, they slide over rocks and trees better than aluminum. I personally like the old town discovery 119 with a few seat...

    Boat advice

Look at the distance, water body size and weather you are going to paddling. Boat efficiency is important. One option is a solo canoe like an old town discovery 12 and bring an inflatable kayak with you. 15+ fit canoe with outboard is another outstanding option. I have done both for several...
