This is one my uncle killed 2 years ago in NY before they lost the farm.
We've got about the same amount of deer as you gents from the south have jackalopes, but the headgear is not as good!
Trick photography. Every successful musky fisherman knows how to do it. You can make a 36 incher look like a 46 incher or vise versa if you do it incorrectly.
That pretty much sums up every deer season for me....I get hyped at the beginning of the season only to have heart ripped out and stomped on shortly thereafter
I'm anticipating a come-down from last year's season. But...my goal this year is 20 deer. Didn't think I'd hit 10 last year. We'll see!

Yep. More older bucks, better buck/doe ratio. Personally, I believe that trophy management is the death knell for "hunting for the little people" but that's another thread.

Yep. But OOS licenses are kinda steep. $350 is the cheapest I've seen, and then you have to add in travel expense.There's more than 1 state with bucks.

If being a serial deer killer keeps you from being a serial people killer I am fine with that.

Dang son the deer there must be tiny! I got 3 last year and the freezer was plenty full. Couldn't even imagine where I'd store 20 deer
Missouri is well under that and you can get a trip license here for way under that as well. For that number though, you can get a full season license here or OK with 6 tags each, 2 buck tags each.
I've got a buddy that kills 15-20 a year, he gives a couple to people in need but that is also all his family eats year round. Don't have to buy that high priced beef. . A few weeks ago, I sent a friend of mine a picture of my 10 yr old with a 4.5 lb largemouth followed shortly thereafter by a picture of me with a 2.5 lb largemouth. He responded with "how big is your fish it looks waaaay bigger than your boys" Nope. My arms are just longer.

Want? Why does an alcoholic want a case of beer instead of a pint? Because they have a problem. I have no problem admitting I have a problem when it comes to the burning desire to kill more deer. I passed a roadkill doe on my bike this afternoon that wasn't there yesterday. Obviously I had to pull over and cut a plug out of her backstrap to see if she had spoiled...
She had. Dogs got to her too.
Dead deer make me happy, happy, happy.
