2024 Gear thread

Looks like he's still covered in tethrd stuff on that site and has been in a lot of their videos lately, so I would wager this is just a little side hustle that the guys are cool with since its specialty non-saddle products
Yeah, one of the picture from the product page has him using it from a treestand.

I did find this product picture a little surprising. I doubt it means anything just not the tab I figured he'd use in the product pics.

Shawn from TL asked Jared to make him a TL finger tab. Came out really nice, which is why I am sure he is showcasing it.. nothing to see here :) but a small community of like minded hunters.

Yeah, assumed it didn’t mean anything just wasn’t the logo I expected. It is a nice looking tab though.

To be fair, the 5th picture said G2 outdoors

Not sure if this has been posted yet but tree top hunting has a bunch of new one sticking options.

I like the looks of that bottom step they have.

Also, with names like Optimus and Optimus Plus, I feel like they missed the mark by naming the Mobile Snyper platform. Should be Optimus Prime :tearsofjoy: . Especially since it transforms lol.

I'm at a lost on why people are selling tether at the prices they are asking for....making one yourself should be a $15-20 cost....

Because people will pay it. Why are people paying $60k for a truck that was $35k 5 years ago? Or $600+ for a treestand??? $300 for a platform that costs probably $40 in material…

If people continue to pay it and they even run out of stock. They will continue to raise the price. There has got to be an equilibrium somewhere.

Obviously, there's the material and overhead thing, but if the market holds the value and people buy it, it'll either stay the same or keep going up... Sewing/splicing usually starts at about $20 per unit too. Personally I prefer a sewn or spliced eye, from a bulk perspective first, and from a strength perspective second.

I buy my rope (more or less in bulk) now and have Arbsession do the sewing, if/when I need it done.

So very true. A figure 8 knot has never bother me on any rope before, but I understand the benefits of a sew/splice end. I dont personally understand it, but spending money on a good manufactured tether is justifiable.

If this was already posted I apologize.
Looks like a plastic one stick with a large top step. Says patent pending. Not sure what’s patent worthy on it, but it’s supposedly going to weigh a little under 4.5 lbs including attachment method

That’s dumb. Who wants to assemble a stick in the dark at the tree? Those platforms are going to wobble really bad also.

This one is a fail!

I’m not disagreeing with you at all. Personally, it’s a no go for me. I am simply sharing it for the guys that want metal free options.
