Update from the email blast...I'm copying it here so you guys can all stay in the loop.

Predator Platform - The testing is complete and the results are amazing (over 500 lbs to failure). We're putting a 300 lb weight limit on it, but it should give you piece of mind knowing we tested it to double that. We're waiting on the ZipCam straps from our sewing contractor so we can begin shipping. Just as soon as those arrive, your platforms will be going out. However, if you ordered the Predator with a Mantis, we're going to ship those items together. Also, say a prayer for Ernie - he has to assemble all these platforms. I think his fingers are going to be little sore lol.

Mantis Saddle - As of noon on August 1st, our contractor hasn't tested the saddle yet. This is extremely frustrating for us. We're relying on a third party and there's not much we can do other than apply pressure. Rest assured we're all over them. Ernie is going by the facilities DAILY and following up with emails and calls. We're doing every single thing in our power to get this process finalized. Maybe once this is done we can start our own sewing, manufacturing, and testing facility so we don't have to wait on anyone else. Who's with us??? All kidding aside, you guys are going to be blown away with the Mantis and accessories. It is truly a remarkable setup. As of now, there are no changes to our expected shipping times from the previous update.

There have been dozens of you that reached out and offered encouraging support. This means the world to us. We're taking this delay very personally, but unfortunately it's out of our control. Our goal from the beginning has been to build the lightest, safest, strongest, and most user friendly saddle hunting equipment the world has ever seen. With your support, we've done that. Now we just need a little more patience so we can get it in your hands.

Also, I didn't include these in the email, but thanks to @bowhunter15 for these awesome pics. For those of you that don't know - Garrett was the lead engineer for the Predator platform. The design was a group effort between me, @Erniepower, @redsquirrel, @BassBoysLLP, and obviously @bowhunter15. However, Garrett's contribution was over and above. Everyone should send him a PM saying "thanks". It would be funny for him to get 500 PMs :)

Also, I talked with Lou from Stealth Strips and he's built us a CUSTOM silencing kit for the Predator platform. We'll be loading those in the website as soon as we have them. Oh - and because you guys have killed us with support - the kits will be less than $10.

So with the platform is this a cam over type platform? More or less is it the zipcam holding it all or is it like place the post against the tree, tighten the strap, and then cam the base down?

It's just a like a lone wolf strap. You stand on the post, lift platform with your toe, and pivot platform back down to cam lock. Just like the Klemz style. Zip cam holds it so you can cam lock the platform and create tension on the strap

Put the Predator against the tree with the base/platform in the upright/transport position. Tighten the ZipCam strap all the way down - as tight as you can get it. 3. Push down on the i-beam post while camming the base/platform down. That's it. Works great.

Thats all i needed to know!!! I can definitely see how that works. I got away from platforms and was all about the ring of steps but Tethrd has me back on the platform now with the predator. I know I can’t wait for it all to show up at my door and btw don’t take those third party delays personally. Just apply pressure till they do the job because their tired of hearing from you lol!! If that doesn’t work tell them all the folks in the Tethrd Nation are out hunting for them lol!!! J/k we can’t do that nowadays lol!!

Great news on the platform!
I know I’ve made a few post poking fun at the situation but honestly I think the entire Tethrd crew has done an excellent job! Keep up the good work fellas!!!!
