Advice on Spurs

I've refined my setup and method to a point where I believe I have my go-to system. I ordered 12 Primal steps, and will be making the slide in platform to preset 12 trees on my property. I'll be using a bolt on either side of the platform to provide maximum mobility. I've decided that I'll be climbing to my platform using spurs.

Would you guys suggest these:

Or should I spend the money on a pair of Buckinghams?

You cannot go wrong with the Buckingham’s IMO. I LOVE MINE

Buy once, cry once is probably the way I'll approach this purchase. I don't want to be up a tree wondering if I'm counting on Chinese metal in freezing temps.

I did have another question. I have nasty scar on my shin from a project that went a little sideways. Basically if one were to extend their leg, they'd feel a little bump at the top of their shin just below the knee cap. My scar runs from that bump up to the bottom of my knee cap. The problem is that it's very sensitive. Do the pads put pressure on this area at all? It would seem that the pressure would be more lateral.
