Aero Hunter New Saddle

I don't know if I'm seeing this right, seems I'm looking at a harness not a saddle. More like the Aerohunter than the Evo.
It does not contain the swing seat like the evo but those leg straps look a lot bigger and better shaped than the OG aerohunter to me… but without getting my hands on one I won’t know for sure…. I’ll probably pick one up to add to my collection at some point.

Right. I was thinking it reminds me more of a CAMP Tree Access Evo than an Aerohunter Evo.

I'm sure it will serve its purpose. I'll be interested to see what it features, beyond a trimmed down build.

I guess I'm just surprised to see a seatless hunting saddle, I would have expected something like the seat of a canyoneering harness to bridge the gap. But, the freedom of movement for each leg must be nice. And assuredly it'll have safety benefits if worn properly. Probably some drawbacks too.

I'm curious how the comfort on that will be. I'm intrigued though because of my bony butt. I'm skinny and even long car rides in a nice padded seat gets uncomfortable for me after a few hours.

New photo posted on FB today.

Super short connection to the tree. Not sure if/how that would lend itself to walking around the tree.

Here is the text from the post as well.

I’m going to get one. I hope I can also use it for some light tree work that I have been getting into.
I'm probably going to get one, but obviously want to see more. I really like my Kestrel and have always been impressed with the AH quality. I also SRT most of the time, so I think it may be a good fit for my style.

Looks like the work saddles with more fabric. Minus the metal. But if it's comfortable. All that matters.
I just hope it’s more old school aerohunter and less of the new (last two saddles).. I’ve never had a poorly built aerohunter saddle but the newer ones Merlin and shrike weren’t in my opinion, nearly as good as the old kestrel, old kestrel flex, the kite or the Evo… although I think they were more comfy than some people were claiming. I never felt the pinch on the Merlin that Boswell talked about in his video. The saddle leaned pretty well also. But it never quite felt like that old flex or kite, maybe I’m the only one that feels that way though.

I'm mostly curious what the bridge situation is. In the picture they posted connected to the tree, it doesn't look like the carabiner is connected to a rope bridge.

I was hoping there would be a shorter point to connect to while climbing SRT and a more traditional bridge I could use once at height. The adjustable bridge I have on my Kestrel works OK, but kind of a pain to lengthen at height.

Or maybe that is the rope bridge in the tree photo. Hard to tell with the black and white.

If it’s like the last two it’ll be a tubular webbing bridge that utilizes the austrialpin frame belt buckles to adjust. It’s super smooth although it doesn’t get as short as rope Bridges do. There’s also more noise potential until it’s weighted. I actually like the webbing bridge on the shrike

Man do they need professional marketing help. That looks like a photo someones grandma took for a craigslist ad circa 2005.
If aerohunter stole Tethrd's marketing team they would put everyone else out of business. They make great stuff. But i agree, its their biggest pitfall IMO. Id rather them spend their time money and resources into making good products though. I guess theyre happy with where theyre at!

Marketing and patent style business approach. Think of how many saddles wouldn’t exist if they had patented that pleated design.

Any word on cost? I'm being more tempted all the time...
