Recently I received a set of Trophy steps in on trade. I think I might could get to like them but there has to be better rope. Maybe actual WE ropes are better.. I do have a WE aider and the rope is very similar. Surely some of you guys have tried other stuff.

I did try 1/8 amsteel tonight and it slips in the knot. Maybe larger amsteel would work fine.
What have you guys found?

1/4" amsteel works on mine. I hold the rope as I cam it, have you tried that?

Have not tried that. But even after camming it over I could yank on it and it would loosen a bit more every time. Rope was wet so it made it slicker. I did try 5/16 off my climbing stick and it appeared to grab much better.

I have never actually tried it, but this seems to be an alternative that people really like.
