This is also useful for self rescue while using a rappel device if you need to quickly tie into a long rope without pulling the tail of the rope all the way up. Good one to know
You can very quickly create an Inline Clove Hitch anywhere on the rope. Just a small wire gate biner and maybe a sling if you wanted it away from you a little would do the job.
It could connect directly to your saddle (SAFELY) or your bridge.
