I had to look that one up. Looks like a mini-keyboard on the end of a climbing stick....LOL Do you own some?Just buy the max aider and be done. It's amazing.
Yes. It's the easiest aider I've ever used. The keyboard is some of the best glow in the dark grip tape I've ever seen also.I had to look that one up. Looks like a mini-keyboard on the end of a climbing stick....LOL Do you own some?
The stuff is the endgame for a lot of saddlehunters. Every hobby has its gear crew.Too much stuff. All the gear in the world doesn’t fill tags. My current and long term goal is to build more skills and rely less on stuff.
I'm seeking the balance point between "enough" and "too much" in regards to my saddle setup. Cutting weight has been a key part my focus this initial season and I feel I have a solid, workable setup at present. I'm comfortable with sticks....that has been my primary method of getting up trees for many years.....outside my climbing stand. But sticks have upward limits without adding aiders of some sort......thus the search continues.Too much stuff. All the gear in the world doesn’t fill tags. My current and long term goal is to build more skills and rely less on stuff.
It seems to be sold as their approach or 'system'.....so it is an aider with extras? I thought it looked like a gimmick, but who knows?I dont think this is much of an aider as it is a way to keep your strap aider away from the tree.
Ive never seen this before, and dont know where you found it, but my assumption is they’re selling just the “novel” part of the solution and you provide your own aider. It seems to be sold as their approach or 'system'.....so it is an aider with extras? No I haven't. I would need to see where to attach the lower aider to the upper aider in a secure fashion. The amsteel should be rated for that. It is just a matter of figuring out how to attach them to one another. I guess a girth hitch?Have you tried stacking the aiders to make a multistep maxx aider?
I don't think it's meant to be strong, the only time you need it is when your foots not in it. it's just to keep your aider away from the tree it does not support anything...I've also seen people use a zip tie for this reason.Ive never seen this before, and dont know where you found it, but my assumption is they’re selling just the “novel” part of the solution and you provide your own aider.
That said, unless there is something not visible in the picture, and it’s also made out of some super strong metal, it’s not going to work well and will be more frustration than it’s worth.
See I like that better because a zip tie will get out of the way then spring back rather than bend.I don't think it's meant to be strong, the only time you need it is when your foots not in it. it's just to keep your aider away from the tree it does not support anything...I've also seen people use a zip tie for this reason.
do we know what this is made of? this might do the same. im not sure what it is made from.See I like that better because a zip tie will get out of the way then spring back rather than bend.
the zip tie is only for when your foot isnt in it. it bends when your foot is in it and pops back when its not to keep it away from the tree. Its def not the best option but a good diy to use.The problem is coming down. Going up you can grab any aider and position it for your foot before stepping up on it. What happens when you step on and off these? That zip tie sure ain’t gonna just stay there like that.
