I’ve spent some time in my saddle by now & wanted to share some small mods I did to mine that made this awesome saddle even more next level.
1/ Took the right side waist strap half way out of its triglide and doubled over/stiched the end. Now it’s extremely easy to adjust with no worries of the strap coming out of the triglide. One less thing to fiddle with when wearing gloves.
2/ Added oplux short bridge right below main bridge using two scaffold knots. Keeps it in place without interfering with the adjustments of the main bridge on the d rings.
3/ Switched the continuous loop that connects the bridge from a prusik to a schwabisch hitch. This paired with the mini Kong figure 8 allows the bridge adjustment to break super easy after being loaded. The only thing is that if you run it suuuuper short for SRT or one sticking the tension from the tether can tend the schwabisch a little bit if you lean one way or the other. It’s really not a huge problem. And I use the secondary short bridge for those applications anyway.
4/ Just added some hockey tape to the leg strap buckles and selectively around the d rings. This thing makes basically no noise whatsoever now except for when you put it on and even then you can be silent if you take your time. I put mine on before going into the woods.
Can’t wait to hunt out of this saddle this year.
