Anyone use a fanny pack?

I just saw the an alps fanny pack for sale on Camofire.com and purchased it. I am wondering if anyone else uses a fanny as compared to a backpack.

I was thinking I could add some Molle style connectors on the shoulder staps and then have a GREAT system for carrying all my extras in.

Thoughts? Experience?
 
I use the badlands monster fanny pack. Probably my favorite pack. I haven’t tried to attach sticks to it. It’s perfect for any preset and most times when I know where I’m going. When I’m headed a long way in and spending the whole day I use a bigger pack.
 
I use both. I carry it in the front and strap it around the tree just like you do around your hips. The small pack is only used to carry layers, climbing gear, etc. and stays on the ground.
 
I use it when i'm rifle hunting from the ground. slowing walking cut lines/ ridges or valleys. carry small light stuff. i find if i load it up too much it starts to slide down. it's the tenzing model without the shoulder straps.
 
Used this bag for a few weeks earlier this year; fanny pack strap permanently sewn on, plus an optional shoulder strap included. It was just big enough to carry early bow season essentials.

I was using 3 Hawk Heliums at the time, and put backpack straps on the top (stacked) stick for carrying purposes. This allowed me to wear the sticks like a backpack for the walk in and sling the pack over one shoulder. It was light/quiet and worked pretty well, but I switched back to my Badlands Pursuit backpack when I started one-sticking.

I have a couple that I use but only when it’s warm out and not carrying sticks. Will probably get more use this next season.
 
Amazon had a couple cool “military” style Fanny packs I almost purchased for early season. Just enough to carry your ropes, ect. At only $20. Could come in handy for light weight early season sits.
 
I used one for a while thought it was going to be the best thing since sliced bread then ended up going back to my small backpack
 
I’ve used them off and on throughout the years. Mine is a smaller one and bought for like $10. If I were to buy it again I would buy a slightly bigger one. They are nice to use but probably wouldn’t go back just bc I’m finally used to my backpack setup.

I use a fanny pack for setting stands, but for hunting I go to my packs. It's also what i bring when I scout
 
Look up cbigbear on here, I think he had a modified Alps fanny pack.
