You have gotten a lot of good info here. I suggest that once you have figured which spine and tip weight bareshaft combo flies best that you nock tune them before you fletch em up. Good luck. Enjoy the process.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I've tested a couple of spines, and it looks like the 500s @30.5" with 175 grains up front are going to work well. Bare shaft shooting has shown to be pretty promising. Gonna get them fletched and see how they fly this weekend. I've got to say I'm having a good time with this barebow stuff.

That combination should do well for you. I'm shooting a 40@28 black hunter, and draw 29.5. arrows are gt trad 400's, 30.5 bop to nock throat, with 250 total upfront, finished weight of 565 grains. Just to give you some reference if you ever decide to try the 400's.

Thanks, that’s good to know if I decide to go heavier later on. Your setup is very similar to mine.
