Arrow recommendations

If your trying to find your arrow in the dark they have a reflective wrap you can put on. As for vanes I just put two whites and an orange on mine hoping that I can see it in flight. Was wanting to go to lighted nock but like everyone else said scared to with the problems. Figured this was my best all around I didn’t put the reflective wrap on there yet waiting on it. Figured I’m going to cut it down to go between my vanes and my knock. Not sure if this helps but just another option for ya.

The academy near me always had CEZ reflective wraps on the end caps for $2. They have precut pieces that are 1/4 or 3/8 that i put on the back of the arrow with maybe a 1/16 touching the nock......in my mind it will help stop the nock from blowing out....anything to help from losing my lighted nocks....they are too expensive

Have you tried the glory nocks? They seem to be better than the others out there. (from the video reviews I've watched)

@Backstrap Assassin - I moved to glory nocks this year and love them. The on/off switch is fantastic. I'm shooting one exclusively on target now to test impact damage. So far, through about 250 shots, it's holding up fine. Again, they are bright, have held up well thus far, and have a fantastic on/off system!

Are you able to practice shooting them with the light turned off the whole time?

No ...they will come on. I'm just shooting them to test impact damage over time. At least if there is a way to keep them off, I'm not aware of it.

I just shoot them like I would in the woods, and when I pull them, I take the back end of my pocket knife, put it in the nock, and push the external 'off switch'. ON/OFF is WAY easier than it used to be...

Do you know how many grains (weight) they are?

I think they are new this year. After shooting, they are supposed to stay on even if you hit a hard object. Also, it seems like the on/off button is pretty easy. I might give them a try soon.

I just don’t like putting them on my string and the light lights up. Then I have to take it off and turn off with a knife. Aggravating.

The on/off is WAY less aggravating on glory nocks than the older versions. And with glory nocks, they do not come on until they are released from the string. They are worth a look IMO. Especially if your frustrations are based on last years models.

I picked up some glory nocks to try with .204 sized arrows. They were much fatter than my other nocks (lighted and non). If I wanted to shoot them I would have needed to re-serve my string and tie the D-loop wider, and then my other non-lighted practice nocks would be a loose fit.

I don't have any Glory nocks yet, but I heard that you can put a piece of tape around/over the lock button to keep them off while practicing if you want. I also heard that the weight is 20 gr.

I’m shooting carbon express maxima reds . They’re the best arrows I’ve shot. I have Easton bloodlines and carbon express pile drivers but they ended up in my practice quiver. There’s not a lot of difference inside 40 yds but if you get outside that range the difference is monumental.
