I guess it's in the DNA ? He was a mechanic in the army, always working on someone's car/truck.
I work as an Industrial Maintenance Tech...burn, weld, machine, rebuild, modify, install, PM, yadda, yadda, yadda.
As well as work on my own stuff...
My other hobby.

Actually ...some newer vehicles u can't do it own brakes. Well u can change out all the components but u won't be able to bleed the system. Total bullshizI do have to say, for most automotive related fixes the newer cars have become more complex and less "doable" for your average guy. The big exception is brake pads and rotors. They are the one item where it I think its actually become easier to service yourself.
They trying to get us doing the 4 on, 4 off...but of the 13 or so of us grease monkeys...only 3 or 4 of us can do it all. They want us to "train the new guys". Not looking good for them, lack of incentive.Funny. Close to the same. Maintainer in manufacturing plant. Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, blueprint parts and delivery specs to machinests.
Im not a rich man, but I work 3 on 3 off and started with 4 weeks vacation. So I can't complain about hunting time lol
That seemed off to me as well, I forgot to add in that it semend like the passenger brake was hot(hotter) than the rest, so a sticking ckper may be the cause. Didnt pull to the side, just something I can only describe as a whmp wimp wp pulse at low speed and a steering wheel shake at higher speeds (only when braking).Wow. We’ll never know for sure. I can say from previous experience that you will get new rotors that are warped. Some shops turn every new rotor before installation. Either way if I had to guess I would say that was the problem. I haven’t worked in a shop in ten years but I can’t wrap my mind around replacing the hoses because of pulsating. Anything they could have done to the hoses could only cause a leak, pulling to one side or a brake dragging.
Unless you have an electronic parking brakeI do have to say, for most automotive related fixes the newer cars have become more complex and less "doable" for your average guy.
