Beast stand or LWCG? Opinions please!

No worries. All your points ma
It’s on me. I should have just said I like hang-ons well enough.

Though I still don’t know how ya’ll sit on those padded metal seats all day.
No worries. All your points make sense. I have sat in a mesh seat and they definitely are comfortable. I would say probably more comfortable than the LW seats. But for whatever reason, for me the LW seats still are pretty much ok for me. Maybe because I don’t do super long sits most of the time.

I used to have a .5 and don’t think I kept it long enough to give it a fair shot with the setup arrangement you’re describing. I don’t mind sitting in a saddle but if I had to choose, I would choose a regular seat of some kind almost every time.

I definitely agree that shooting stability is everything when hunting at height and a good solid platform (or ROS) of some kind is most important for that. For me anyway for sure.

You guys got me thinking about the most comfortable lock-on, that I have ever owned.
I have owned plenty of cheap Walmart brands when money was tight… no need to discuss their comfort but they served a purpose. I own some of the original LW Assault’s and some Milllennium M-60s and maybe a M-100. With my limited experience the Millennium is hands down the most comfortable for all day sits. Before saddle hunting I absolutely loved them.
You may ask why then have multiple the LWs,
Simply I have a son that loves to hunt as much as I do and every time I bought something it somehow ended up on his back headed to the woods. So, I just started buying in 3s. 1 for him, 1 for me and a spare as eventually he would leave one at his grand parents for ease of transport. Now that he has a good job and family, I can buy single items now, what a relief.
I may have to bring the M-60 out of retirement just to have a relaxing pre-set to go chill in one morning.

I never found the mesh seats all that comfortable. Always preferred a plush cushion seat…
I remember sitting on a fresh piece of cut plywood of a hand made ladder stand and old pillow as a barrier from the frost. Wonders I didn’t ever slip off one of those things.
We have come a long way with plenty of options to fit our needs.

This has also made me realize I have accumulated to many lock-ons… lol
