I used to have a .5 and don’t think I kept it long enough to give it a fair shot with the setup arrangement you’re describing. I don’t mind sitting in a saddle but if I had to choose, I would choose a regular seat of some kind almost every time.
I definitely agree that shooting stability is everything when hunting at height and a good solid platform (or ROS) of some kind is most important for that. For me anyway for sure.
No worries. All your points make sense. I have sat in a mesh seat and they definitely are comfortable. I would say probably more comfortable than the LW seats. But for whatever reason, for me the LW seats still are pretty much ok for me. Maybe because I don’t do super long sits most of the time.It’s on me. I should have just said I like hang-ons well enough.
Though I still don’t know how ya’ll sit on those padded metal seats all day.
