I can't decide between the 2. I day I want one, the next day it's the other. I can see the pros and cons of both. Really like how cable aider pack on the beast stick but don't like the fixed steps for packing. Skeletors from what I've seen only amsteel or cayg aiders work well. Help me decide cause it seems I can't decide and don't have money for both.

The skeletors will probably catch a good bit of hate, and maybe rightfully so, but if budget is a concern and you don't mind making some modifications and/or sending back a bent standoff the skeletors are great. Krumpf's retractable aider idea is fantastic and easy enough. I put one of them on each stick and made a removable 2-step aider that hangs below the retractable aider on the bottom step. I can get 20' with 3 sticks all day. The stacking pins can be a bit of a PITA but to me it's worth dealing with for the sturdy stackability. I ground bevels on all the bottom standoffs so fingers crossed they hold. The rope connection system has it's pro's and con's but not dealing with a thicker rope or buckle straps, and again the way it all packs up, is just so nice at the price point. If you do go that route, feel free to PM me. I've got leftover knitting needles and wire sleeve for making the aiders and a stinky soldering iron for stealth stripping that I could get rid of.

Beast sticks are the gold standard. They do everything decent. They aren’t the lightest, don’t pack down that good and lack toe room.

The attachment method on the skeletors are the best on the market, bite the tree incredibly well, decent toe room. Where they lack is the standoffs are weak and they bend and they are a little on the heavy side at 2lbs. But they are a great bang for your buck sticks.

I liked folding sticks... till I owned em... I've got beast minis and I'm not changing anytime soon... made a 2 step aider for the bottom...1 step aiders for the other 2... made ultimate stick attachments for each...

Second for beast sticks. They’re one of the only ones in the market that have 2 bolts for the double steps. I’ve not or messed with any other stick out there that’s as solid as those and stays solid because of the 2 bolt system. The quality of them is second to none. They may not pack as tight as other sticks out there but even still the stack Is not bad at all to me. Only thing I recommend highly with them is stealth stripping them. If you don’t they’re like wind chimes.

I was looking for a really nice set of sticks for climbing, just because no matter what I do out hunting, I will for sure be using them if I’m going up a tree. Yes they were expensive but the quality is worth it to me and you’re reminded of that every time you use them. I’m sure the skeletors are pretty good and they do have some cool features. I would just try to decide what is more important to you.

To me the Beast sticks are like a quality rifle or shotgun you know will last and do everything you ask of them without fail, you’ll be able to hand down one day. Other cheaper options, maybe not so much.

I have both. My plan was to sell my Beasts once I got the Skeletors. I just dont trust them enough to sell the Beast sticks.

I think a better comparison would be Beasts vs Tethrd ONE sticks. The skeletors are a budget offering.

The fixed part of the beast is a big pull for me nothing to make noise. It's just I want to add stuff with makes them even more expensive. Tethrd ones look nice but I don't like the glue idea.

No more glue. Press fit end caps now.

With the beast sticks I've always used cam buckles but I wanna get away from them. What kind of attachment do you go with I like the idea of daisy chains.

Beast sticks look bulky and cumbersome for packing, that I can't deny. HOWEVER, my best sticks fit my pack perfectly and give me the best streamlined system that stays between my shoulders when traversing through thick vegetation. I know it shouldn't bother me, but I get anxiety seeing guys with steps strapped to the sides of their packs or lengthways across the bottom of their packs.

They fit your pack nicely, but I worry that sticks packed like yours could cause significant harm in a fall.

I can see that...but typically I actually use the pack/stick to catch my weight when dropping against a hill side for a rest.

You'd have to be pretty fat or fall pretty darn far to achieve any pain...let alone an injury.

Roger. If your cognizant of it and safe, cool beans. Still worth pointing out for others who see how nice your stowage is and copy it without maybe considering it.

I'm pretty good on my feet but have fallen twice in the woods, both times backwards and fast and out of my control completely. Last thing I want is a standoff in my back or neck.
