Anybody try Frogg Toggs. Some of the guys that play golf swear by them.
I like the idea of putting something over rain gear to keep them quiet.

You’d be better off with the cabelas space rain set I recommended early in my opinion. I had frogs togs for several seasons and was unimpressed. Always left you feeling wet, pretty crunkly sounding, and didn’t fit great. They’re more expensive stuff may be a little better, but the regular camo frog togs i didn’t care for.Anybody try Frogg Toggs. Some of the guys that play golf swear by them.

Plus you can find used hiking gear a lot easier than you can find used hunting gear. I'm specifically thinking about backpacks here but applies to rain gear as well.Hiking brands are responsible for a lot of the innovations that hunting brands utilize and hiking brands are usually better per dollar (they have a larger market reach and also produce enough that the stuff goes on sale way more often)
We had a very rainy fall and I usually just wear my GI Woodland Pattern Gore Tex ECWCS smock but it can be noisy n the deer woods. I saw a post by @tailgunner and saw he one he was using in the PNW, and I found one on Gritr.com for under a $100 on sale. It’s not completely quiet but it is way quieter than most.Rivers West Stalker jacket and pants
None of it is whisper quiet, but the Rivers West Stalker line is the quietest fully waterproof midweight rain wear I've found. Granted, I haven't spent $800 on a set of Kuiu or First Lite for comparison. It is midweight in that it has a fleece exterior and a liner layer. There's no insulation though.
I'll third this. I've had their silent suede jacket and pants for five seasons now and it keeps me dry even through some freak rainstorms.I'll second @gcr0003 's recommendation for Cabela's space rain set, lightweight and keeps you pretty dry.
I've had two sets of the Cabela's silent suede. Both lasted a couple of years with little use and then rain comes through. I might have to try putting dwr on the outer material to aid it.I'll third this. The maybe not so good: Not trying to bust your bubble but would like to give you some realistic expectations. In my experience, single layer goretex is barely waterproof for more than a short duration in light to medium rain. So don’t be surprised if you get some dampness if sitting for hours in the rain. That said I would be surprised if this isn’t a fair bit better than the cabelas space suit. If you want true water proof for hours from a goretex jacket you need to get Into the 2-3 layer goretex. It’s not a hard and fast rule but when leaning heavily on DWR treatments it’s part of what you deal with.Just ordered this jacket.
From the pics and reviews it seems like it might be a little shorter than I like but it’s a gore Tex rain jacket with pit zips for $130 after a 15%off coupon. Plus they have free shipping and returns so I figure it’s worth looking at.
90% of your hunting season is in the rain, you gotta elaborate more on raingear that works for you to keep you dryView attachment 98805this one is verey similar in price and material.i thought they where à set,but i am happy so far with both the kings and habit rain gear.light weight ,packable, dry and semi quiet
