For you guys running a bino harness......

Which style/brand do you use that doesn’t interfere with the your saddle setup while you are tethered onto your tree? Curious to what everyone is running.
 
I really like the FHF, I use them with my Swarovski EL 8X32 and I also use their rangefinder pouch as well for my Leopold rangefinder. They are Extremely compact and lightweight but two my brothers use marsupial Bino harness for their Swarovski‘s and they like them also... but the FHF is a little more compact and lightweight.
 
I have not found one that opens away from me and is slim enough to satisfy me yet. I’ve tried the new marsupial, OV Ridgetop, and SG skyline

Thats basically where I am with bino harness‘s now...... I have a Kuiu Pro that I used out west(hunting on foot) that worked great but it is a bit bulky when sitting in my saddle. It interferes with my bridge a little, not bad but just enough. I run 10x42’s out west as well. In the tree I like my 8x32’s.

I do like using a bino harness though... very convenient while sitting/hunting.
 
I asked this same question on here a while back, everybody recommended the Rick Young bino harness, I have it but never tried it yet, I have a Marsupial gear set up and it’s just a bit much for me while in a saddle, 10x42 leicas, I usually end up just taking them in and out of my pack hanging in front of me the little bit I use them.
 
Sitka Bino Bivy. Not sure they make it anymore. It’s their old style 10x42.

I keep going back to my Rick Young. Think I’m just going to order one his covers.
 
I asked the same question awhile back. Ended up going with the AGC hybrid max. I love the set up, BUT , it does interfere with the bridge. It will also rub against the tree while climbing. I have been running an elberstock dagger on my back and the ACG on my front. Absolutely love this set up! When I get in the tree both go on a single hero or S clip. I never realized how clean my binoculars can stay while hunting and what a difference clean binoculars make.

Been using a Kuiu Pro since last season. I wear it every time I’m in the woods.

I’m hunting in a recon with a short bridge and low tether height and it doesn’t get in my way. It’s pretty convenient as I can keep my phone in with my binos. I also keep my release and my backup release in the 2 side pouches.

Ran a longer bridge and higher tether on my kestrel last year and had some interference. Annoying but it was manageable.

I don’t have a saddle (yet) but do use the Rick Young harness and cover. Been using them for a month and really like them. Minimalistic and light. I also ordered a QD for my rangefinder.

The only thing I don’t like is that the digital camo cover does have a “squeak” to it when folded behind the binos. May break in some more with usage. That being said, I don’t believe it would spook a deer.

I currently use the Badlands Bino XR, it interferes only slightly with the bridge at height. With a short bridge/lineman's, there is usually no interference while climbing. That being said, I do prefer it hanging from my HYS strap, in front of me, when at height. I usually remove it when I remove my pack.
 
I have a slick setup this year using Marsupial. I have the standalone setup and then I put the pack kit on two of my packs. So what ever I grab My bino's attach easily and quickly. I hang on tree when I am sitting.
 
Can someone provide a picture of the interference they are experiencing with their bridge and bino harness? I can't picture it.

I don’t have a pic... but the bino harness will get in the triangle shape of the bridge a little. Nothing big but just annoying.
 
I looked into this for a while a few months ago and I'm finally about to get one of these: https://alaskaguidecreations.com/products/kodiak-c-u-b-with-m-a-x-pocket

From everything I've read and people I've talked to it should hold every piece of essential gear I need and seems like I'll still have clearance. We'll find out. I've been using this: https://vortexoptics.com/vortex-binocular-harness-strap.html and it's fine but I don't like how much it moves around and not being able to have my rangefinder on it
 
I'm using the Horn Hunters Op-X bino harness. The magnetic lid opens away from you, stays in place good, and has a range finder holster with a cover. I dont know how it'll interact will in the saddle since I'm waiting for it to arrive. Hopefully it wont be an issue!

The only issue I've had is recently the covers for my binos started to squeak against the interior fabric. I can mitigate it a bit by trying to hold it open more when drop them in. I havent really looked into a way to permanently fix it since its not that loud.

Honestly, never thought about taking them off. I paid enough for them that I'd hate for them to get scratched up so I figure leave em on for extra peotection. But you make a solid point, removing them would resolve the issue!

LOL, they are your knockers brother, do it how you want. Just not sure of the purpose of the harness AND lens covers HAHA
