Binoculars in the car year round

I like to keep a pair of binos in the car at all times but I worry about temperature change damaging them. I typically take them out of my car during the winter months. Is this something to worry about or is it safe to just leave them in there?

I'm using the vortex crossfires.

I keep a set of zen Ray ed2’s in my truck year round. I’m Arkansas so they see temps in triple digits.

They ship optics all over the world in hot, humid cargo trucks and shipping containers. They'll be fine.

Same for bow limbs. A car would have to be might hot to de-laminate a bow limb.

Have some Leopulds that have been in my truck year-round, no issues. Super-cheap nockers might have problems. Vortex should be good.

Viper hd’s year round. Between those and a ton of tools It would suck to have my car broken into.

I work at an archery shop for years and I have seen my share of Limbs that have delaminated from being left in the heat inside a vehicle. So I would not leave a bow or a crossbow in a hot vehicle. Heat and cold will also change your point of impact on your bow a little.

My nikons ride with me year round. Hope they have good customer service if I need them

I have to admit my swaros are around my neck every time I am in the truck on weekends!

Don't do anything in the Woods without my swaros, compact 8x 30s in alaskan guide company hybrid max chest pack,my all time favorite cause what I do is bowhunt in mostly thick stuff but got the 10xs also for out west.

Keep my vortex furys 10x42 in there most of the time. I had thought bout the heat/cold ect but always thought about how vortex has a no questions asked warranty and there has 2 be more ppl than myself that leave em in their truck.

That's weird. Mine stays on the truck regularly, and they ship them in huge metal boxes that get hotter than heck

Their glass is a lot better than their CS. Speaking from experience.

Crap! Bubble buster

Glad I saw this... nearly bought a pair of Nikon Monarch 5's this morning and was going to get back to it this afternoon. Seems like very time I try them in-store, the Nikons are just clearer than the Vortex, but if the CS sucks, it's not THAT big a difference. Thanks for the info.

Don't get me wrong, I'd still buy Nikon. Owned 3-4 of their scopes and 2 pairs of binoculars. Warranties to me are overrated. I'd rather the stuff just not break. And my personal optics have never had an issue. My dad's and my customers' have, and while Nikon honored their warranty it wasn't fast or easy

Don't break your stuff and you'll he fine. The monarchs are nice.

I have heard Vortex has the best customer service in the market
