Bolts, bolts and more bolts...

I'm going to place an order for some bolts on Ebay. Seems like everyone is using 6" bolts, which seems rather short to me for my size 13 rubber boots. I can get 8" bolts for an extra $20 per hundred. Is there any disadvantage to the 8" bolts? I'm wondering if the extra 2" compromises the integrity of the bolt.

Precisely. Bigger lever, bigger chance to bend. 6" is bigger than you think.

Can somebody help a new guy out and snap a picture of a preset tree using bolts? I want to get an idea of spacing and and a visual before I get some and head to the field. If anybody can, thank you in advance!

Should've been just a link, but yes, they're grade 8, 3/8-16 x 6. Wasnt sure what the -16 meant.

Yup. Threads per inch. Usually the higher thread counts are more expensive bolts. Since the treads will be useless, get the 16 if you have a choice.
