Not sure if this actually classifies as DIY... but very simple and I wish I had it years ago. Idea is stolen off a DIY Sportsman vid and just wanted to share. I had an HME bow holder I don’t use (since switching to the saddle) and found a table vise on Amazon very similar to the one he mentioned.

Bow holder.....not really a bow vise. Unless I'm missing something this isn't actually clamping to the bow just cantilever / gravity holding the bow?

I went with a stand alone conquer bike vise. It works pretty good for my needs.

I ordered one off an ArcheryTalk member. Search for 'spewingjason bow vise'. Around $60. Very well made.

Thanks for this! I’ve been looking for an option that didn’t involve me drilling into my work bench. Ordered both parts for Prime delivery tomorrow. At $30 total, it’s worth taking a chance on for me.

Correct, “bow holder” or “bow vise alternative” would probably have been a better way of putting it. Regardless, I’ve had good luck using it in place of a vise for a fraction of the cost.
