I want to start off by saying I just noticed this today (Sunday) and I've emailed Tethrd to see what their opinion is. I understand they're closed today and am giving them time to respond. I'm not intending this as a complaint on their product.... I'm very happy with it.
In the meantime, I want to see what some of you more seasoned saddle hunters think of this. The amsteel bridge on my menace saddle has a spot where it looks like it's damaged or fraying. One entire group of the braid (not sure what you call it.... Seems like more than a "strand") appears to be completely broken. This is the first time I've had it on and wanted to practice in the yard. It looks like it's right at the end of where the end is buried into the body, as if the needle/bury tool clipped one of the sides when it came out. What concerns me is it's in the area that my carabiner attaches to, which I would imagine sees more stress than some other areas.
What do y'all think? Am I being overly paranoid?
