Has anyone come up with a double step cable aider rather than the single standard setup?
My understanding as well. I have cable aiders from EWO and they attach to the bolt that holds the step onto the stick post. Most cable aiders attach to the hardware on the sticks and not the steps themselves I thought?
I’m not against the idea of amsteel aiders, I just like how cable aiders stand out from the tree to step down onto. I think it could be ideal to have the first step amsteel and the second step up cable.
Understand what you are asking, I switched to cable aider from amsteel as I couldn't see or feel the amsteel int he dark and the cable aider is always in the same place. You would actually need the lower aider to be about 60-70" long so it could hoop down below what would now be the top aider. I currently use four trophyline sticks with aiders plus one strap on step at the base of the tree so I get above 20 feetI’m not against the idea of amsteel aiders, I just like how cable aiders stand out from the tree to step down onto. At this point you’d have to make your own. I’ve given this some thought before. What it would take - (poor description coming….) - two eyelets, two swage sleeves, one very long section of wire (as the bottom step), and one very short section of wire (as the second step). Pretty basic, really. Not available currently.Has anyone come up with a double step cable aider rather than the single standard setup?
