I'm a new member here and I feel like I have been here forever. I am not new to run and gun but I am new to the saddle game. I have never hunted out of a saddle. I have never even sat in a saddle. But after lurking around here and on the Facebook page I am all in. I have a Mantis on order with all the accessories, I just picked up a set of Hawk sticks to fully modify, I ordered a new pack, qlipter, s-biners, amsteel in a couple sizes, tubular webbing, accessory cord, paracord, and a new pack. I'm sure there was more. I have dumped a ton of money for not ever being in a saddle before lol. But I am more than ready to make this my sole method of hunting. All of you guys have answered a ton of questions that I'm sure you get all the time but I appreciate everyone willing to help me along the way.

It is a good feeling. A great group of gentlemen that accepts us misfits.

I grew up broke and no money to buy stuff after buying a used bow and arrows. I bought a walmart climbing stand that I had stolen pretty quickly. Then put some climbing sticks and heavy hang on stand up which was also stolen(thanks public land douchebags). After that and while still in college I basically went to the woods, climbed a tree and stood on a branch. Hunted that way for years until my first kiddo was born. Then the wife nagged me to be safer while hunting. I rarely hunted the same tree twice and dealt with the standing on branches and played the balancing act until I almost fell. That was it. I needed a better way. Bought a stand and sticks... had the stand stolen the first year. Then started my search and found the trophyline. It fit what I was used to, find an area, hunt the spot and not just the tree that worked and much more mobility. Started that and can't even hunt a ladder stand or climber if I wanted to. It is definitely not for everyone, but it is for me. I hope it works for you, but if not, it won't be hard to sell your stuff on here:)

I have faith that I will catch on quickly. Atleast I hope lol

You're in the right place to learn. Don't give up on it at first. It will be difficult and some of it won't make sense. You'll be uncomfortable and you wont' be able to figure out why.But I promise, stick with it, keep adjusting it, and you'll find the sweet spot. Then, it's all downhill!

I'm not the kind to give up lol. I couldn't be more pumped for this. I have spent way too much money to not make it work haha. Your videos and DIY threads have inspired me.

You sound hardcore. I think you're going to love it. Your post is only words, but I sense solid ambition. This is good. I'm looking forward to more posts from you. Some of us regular posters may come off as having skills, but we're just regular hunters like everyone else with a passion for the equipment. Good luck this season.

I am a hardcore bowhunter. Nothing against guns because I own handguns but I breathe bowhunting. That's all that is on my mind all year. Run and gun is my go to. About 90% of my hunting is run and gun and I think a saddle is gonna take me to a whole new level and I can't wait. I'm glad I have found this forum because I have learned a ton the past few weeks. You guys are all awesome and this place seems like a family. I hope to help the saddle community grow.

Welcome to the big leagues Rymanco...:sunglasses:

You're in the right place to learn.

g2 just gave you, and every new saddle hunter about to strap on their first tree saddle for the first time for that matter, the best advice you could ever get.
