Carrying Wild Edge steps

I took a rubber bow sling that I got from speciality outdoor products and attached it to my wild edge bag and it works great! The rubber absorbs some of the weight and the bag feels a lot lighter.

How high are you getting per step? I carry 8 and average 26ft.
I am short....5 foot 6 and I never carry more than five steps. I use a knaider and each step gets me around five feet. Most of the time I only carry three steps. I have tried alot of setups and this seems as good as any and also as light. A knaider weighs basically nothing but doubles your height with a wild edge step.

You use a knaider and Swaider? If just using a knaider how do you get your knee almost head high?

Each step gets me about to the top of my chest muscle......just under my chin. I guess that would technically be around 4.5 feet each. With my platform that gets me to fifteen feet off the ground with three steps. I stay in shape so I am probably more flexible than most people my age. I used to use a swaider as well but found for all the extra hassle that it wasn't worth it for me. I only got around six inches higher per step with the knaider and it can be a pain in the rear. I also use a knaider with my climbing sticks which gets me to about 6.5 feet with each stick. Just put an amsteel loop on the bottom of the stick. In my opinion the knaider can't be beat for the simplicity, weight and bulk.
