All of the development with the Sit drag and other saddle innovations going on here has me thinking the rock harness could be minimalist; just used for climbing.

With that thought in mind, I've been contemplating a cave harness. http://www.gonzoguanogear.com/harness.html This one in particular.

Of course lineman loops would need to be added and this would be used just for climbing and safety harness. Whilst sitting "in stand" the sit drag or some other minimal seat/saddle would be an addition.

What say ye?

I have a Guidos web but it sure seems bundle-some and tough to climb with, to me.

Looks like it would work for your purpose. I have cut all of the straps above the waist off of a tree stand safety harness, clipped carabiners on it and used that as a Linemans belt and never worried about it being unsafe. That is essentially the same thing as your cave harness.

I personally prefer something more like a Linemans belt - around my waist vs legs/crotch.
I plan to use one of these with a few saddles that I don't yet completely trust - Sit N Drag is one of them...
