Has anyone figured out a safe way to switch the old trophyline webbing lineman’s belt to a rope style? I’m not sure where it would be safe to tie in.

Any help would be appreciated.

I just tie mine to the saddle d loop. It is always tied on and the carabeaner side just goes in my pouch

Mine didn’t have the factory D loops. I cut my linesman belt at about 10 inches and sewed loops out of the remainder with my speedy stitcher. No regrets.

What kind of thread did you use? I I'm not sure if I'm that confident in my sewing abilities.

I used a speedy stitcher that I bought from Harbor Freight for $7. It came with a large spook of thread. I used it to stitch a climbing aider. It isn’t pretty (no experience) but it is really strong and functional! Used it this morning!

I’m gonna stitch lineman’s loops on my saddle. I’ll probably wait until season is out. I’m afraid I’m gonna take too long and miss a hunt if I tru to do it now.

mbateman, I'd love to see pics when its done. I have the speedy stitcher and have used it, but it wasn't anything that was going to support my weight 20 feet up. I wonder if there is a specific stitch pattern that is stronger?

Here’s the way I did mine. Used a speedy stitcher and the thread that came with it. Did several straight stitches across to hold everything in place, then added a zigzag across the top. Figured what I lacked in quality, I would make up with quantity....
