What are the most affordable 200 grain screw-in broadheads on the market?
I want to build a few "beater" arrows for general abuse use, mostly groundhogs.
I really don't want to be shooting my $30 Samurai heads into the dirt or risk losing them in the grass just to kill some groundhogs.
Actually, I'd like to use my old Sitka shafts instead of my Momentum 400 and build an arrow that is compatible in flight characteristics. I just don't need the superior penetration that my "good" (read expensive) deer arrows have. I do have lighter 125-150gr heads that I could use, but I'm just not sure where to start as far as getting them to fly like my "real" arrows.
Any thoughts or advice?

Ethics Archery 200g field points will annihilate squirrels and ground hogs and any other small game. If you’re worried about ethical kills with a field point, I understand. But that 200g field point is a piss missile.

VPA has these that come in a three pack:

The VPAs are a little more expensive than I wanted to spend for beater arrows.

German jager 200 are $30 for 3 at 3rivers.... aluminum ferrule however...I killed a deer with 1 and 1 is my "beater" tuning broadhead...the other I keep I'm my quiver

Check eBay, I was looking for some in 150 grain and they have a few types of nock off heads for cheap. Saw some 200 grain as well

What about judo points? A local fellow said he used those to shoot the groundhogs in the head and they worked great.

I shoot judos for stump shooting and I have killed groundhogs with it. One of them was a pest that kept digging holes in my barn. I snuck up on him outside the building one day and sent a judo his way, 50# recurve. The 545 gr arrow bounced off the 'hog and it ran in the barn and into its hole. 3 days later, there were a steady stream of flies coming in/out of the hole. I know that sucker died in there...self burial. I love it when that happens.
Judos don't come in 200 grain but I rigged some @200 with the proper ferule adaptor.
I was hoping to buy some "junk" 200 gr broadheads, but a couple hours ago, I looked thru my drawer of arrow stuff and I found some steel ferules (75gr) and Eclipse broadheads. I put them on my scale and they are very close to 200 gr.
Problem solved.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

Magnus, ACE, or Zwickey 125's with 75 steel or brass screw in adapters.

Or a 145 with a 42 grain aluminum adapter gets you close as well.

In true saddle hunter style, we are just trying to help you spend your money on stuff you don't really need. ;)
I figured that. And I also realize that there are always lurkers and newbies out there that might find info useful. I also know that posters don't always read thru previous posts...I was just trying to keep you guys in the loop that I solved my issue.
Thanks.
