Have You Seen This Freakishly Gigantic Buck?
Gigantic buck? Definitely! But how about a monster spike? You may be as surprised as the deer hunter who killed this unique trophy.www.deeranddeerhunting.com
There is just something off with the body of that deer. Can’t be real.I’d you can dream it up, there’s a picture of it on the internet somewhere. Though, as the rompela thread reminds us, not all that glitters is gold.

The whole intent of those kinds of regulations is to ensure that younger bucks don’t get shot to allow more of them to grow to reach their full potential. Deer like this are clearly mature whitetails who may never reach a legal buck requirement in states with antler restrictions. I agree with the mantra of “let them grow” but now that most hunters / people understand the importance of age class, I think those kinds of regulations are now somewhat archaic. 30 years ago people didn’t trust the mentality of that…. Now most people do.In Pa I'm in 1B and our rules states it has to be 3 up on one side excluding the brow tine. So that buck would not be legal. But I guarantee someone in the orange army blasts it just because they see a big rack.

Including mine. I support APR but there should be some sort of exemption for deer over 2.5 years old. Simple examination of tooth replacement would prove it's not a yearling, which is the reason for point restrictions...to protect yearlings. What a giant, that buck would be Illegal to shoot in several counties in PA.
