Check out this potential new world record 6!!!!

I saw one like that on a barn in Ontario. Spike with 7" bases. I never got the story on it; guy who lived there was busy showing me the 170" buck he got that year. Honestly, I was more interested in the spike but I didn't want to piss the guy off. I've seen a few big bucks, but never even heard of a spike like that. And he had it on the barn with a bunch of racks like it was average.

This is a great video on a giant three point. I would love to shoot a whacky looking buck like this. The funniest part is when Daniel always says... "He's a Shhhttuud! " Listen and you'll see what I mean. Here's the link:

Like this one? Been frequenting our farm for at least 6 years.Thats from about 4 years ago, he's at age where he's starting to thin out now.View attachment 81687

In Pa I'm in 1B and our rules states it has to be 3 up on one side excluding the brow tine. So that buck would not be legal. But I guarantee someone in the orange army blasts it just because they see a big rack.

The whole intent of those kinds of regulations is to ensure that younger bucks don’t get shot to allow more of them to grow to reach their full potential. Deer like this are clearly mature whitetails who may never reach a legal buck requirement in states with antler restrictions. I agree with the mantra of “let them grow” but now that most hunters / people understand the importance of age class, I think those kinds of regulations are now somewhat archaic. 30 years ago people didn’t trust the mentality of that…. Now most people do.

I agree. I don't think you will find anyone who would say a buck like that needs to grow. That rule is probably good for 99.9% of the deer but there could be a "so many points on one side or______inside spread" and that should solve that.

In my area most people would still shoot immature buck. Most are just meat hunters. Our region would go right back to the way it was pre restrictions. I'm fine with giving up a few mature bucks like these in order to keep the overall age class higher. The restrictions have done wonders. They work very well.

That Buck is in 2A, I've seen him live 2 and regularly get pics late summer and early fall, never have had him in bow range so I've never been forced to decide wether to break a game law. I'll be honest that pic didn't do him justice, his body is huge, I'd wager he's 250lbs. He's pretty well known and surrounded by private property so hell probably die of old age. We have discussed how the conversation with warden would go if someone did kill him, I personally don't know how they could punish a person for shooting him to be honest, even the judge would understand when holding those antlers.

What a giant, that buck would be Illegal to shoot in several counties in PA.
Including mine. I support APR but there should be some sort of exemption for deer over 2.5 years old. Simple examination of tooth replacement would prove it's not a yearling, which is the reason for point restrictions...to protect yearlings.
