I have been following this topic with great interest since i am looking for a climbing method for early mornings when my DRT setup won't work. I have the predator platform and just need to get an aider to try it.
I’ve tired this method it’s doable but when using k&s it better using linemen’s bc you set back into it when you climb so with a tether it’s a little more difficult but doable.I was thinking more minimal than multiple steps, maybe naider and swaider with one step. Im sure it's been tried.
Yeah I’m very happy with my predator mod and two step aider. It’s legit. Thinking about making a two step aider out of Amsteel just to shed some oz’s
1/4 inch probWhat diameter are you thinking?
What are you doing to release the solo remotely? Looked pretty slick but I wasn’t sure what you were using or how you did it. Looks like you are using a cam strap?

Any way you could post a close-up picture of how you attached the aider?
Yes I am making up a setup that still uses the original cam strap and the device I am using is called a snap shackle. It latches closed to hold platform tight and then allows to remotely release it under load. User assumes risk . I am using one that has a 1700lb wl and 3800 breaking rating.
Your mod turn out good man!! Legit set up I like it.
Is this a negative or an x-ray?Here it is boys and girls... 5.5lbs of ascending, platforming, and descending goodness. Hopefully I can get some shots of it all in action tomorrow.
