Cranford rope steps

My video. They work and aren't bulky, are they amazing... No, but you can make them work. I wish it was easier to get them tight

So did you climb much this year with aiders and ceanfoed rope steps

I"ve got some old loggy bayou strap on steps I"m giving a try as well. They'l lighter than the cranford, and the camstrap/hook like an ameristep is much easier to take off on the way down...especiallywhen your hands are cold!
 
used them a couple of years....biggest complaint was sometimes I could not get them cinched down tight enough....totally operator error...
 
I might still have some of these laying around my garage if somebody is interested. They just were not for me.
 
I like them, once I got used to them they were quick, easy and efficient. It takes some time to pack them away at the end of the day, that’s my biggest complaint. I take 10 and can space them to get 18-20ft, and they only weigh somewhere around 4-5lbs.

I think guys pull on the wrong end to tighten them. If you pull on the side of the rope that has the double line (not the tag end) and find the side that makes it tighter, it’s easy to cinch them down, then pull the excess out using the tag end. Does that make sense?
