When it comes to packs I try to go as simple as possible because for most of my hunts there really isn’t a reason to carry a ton of gear, all day hunts are the exception and late season when you need to take a lot of layers. So I made a very simple drawstring bag out of camo fleece this holds my spurs and a foam pad to put my knees against and hopefully my predator when it comes in. Everything else I need to hunt is in pouches on my saddle.

Looks good! I made something similar, but I've got an old pack that I just always go back to. May end up taking it to a seamstress and telling them to recreate it in fleece.

Thanks, I got a pack like that I’ve had for 10 years or better I actually sewed a tear up on it when I made this one, but it’s just more than I need 90% of the time.

I like that but I think with a platform it’s going to be a little much on the shoulders. Maybe you can come up with a simple strap pad. I guess it also depends how far you have to lug it.

I Agree, maybe just some 1" tubular with an adjustable fastex buckle. put the male end on the top on one side and the female on the other. Then when you get to height, you can buckle the two backpack straps to themselves you strap it on the tree.

That would probably work slick, so far the weight is fine even just being supported with two strands of paracord.... all my spots I would use this setup I would have relatively short walks since my spurs are just for my private farms, public ground where I’ll use my sticks still I’ll probably use my regular back pack just because it carries my sticks so well.

I should make one for the same scenario!

Dragging up old DIY fleece backpack! Anyone got any more ideas. I really want to lose a bunch of stuff I don't use, but just can't. Thanks in advance.

Ironically I’m making another version I began last night lol

How did the new version turn out? I am wanting to make one with a flap over the top, padded shoulder straps, and compression straps to carry my sticks. No zippers and no noisy scratchy fabric.

Still a work in progress mine has zippers but it’s all fleece minus air mesh on the back but it’s still a quiet material
