DIY Treesuit user. Tree Climbing method

I like this thread and hope it's reviving the treesuit. I do really like mine and used it a bunch this year. I prefer a ring of steps(screw in cranford t's) so I always have plenty of room in my pack, but here is how I pack it with the climber base when I do(I ued it twice I Think this year?) still all fits in my pack. Theres a pick of the ROS for comparison.

Sorry to post a question on an almost three year old post but I was rereading this thread for the dozenth time and I just caught your reference to the "climber" base. So the original tree suit platform was also a small climber? Like how people use the lone wolf climbers?

Yes the TreeSuit Co. made a small foot climber you could purchase to go with it. If memory serves me correctly it was made out of steel.

Yes, they made 2. One that was a cable style, and one a "V" bar like an old warren and sweat. They were both a little finicky but the cable one worked decent on smooth bark, smaller size trees.
