Well I cant speak for the kestrel, just going on my experience with the treesaddle. Whenever my feet weren't supported in that thing it was an instant crotch hang with the leg loops

Just remember safty first. I would definitely get a RCH because accidents can happen in a split second . Trust me I know and it changed my life. Be safe.
I planned to practice and test it low extensively first and I thought about sewing a second set of D rings with a continuous loop made of webbing. Also adding belt and probably leg straps. I saw @DaveT1963 youtube video and it looked pretty safe. Has anyone ever had one of these sit drag saddles fail?

I have personally never heard of one failing.
