They should if you leave at least 5/8" at the bottom below the last step for the standoff to rest on. I only have one stick done so far so haven't tested it. I think others were leaving about 1" just to allow some room.
 
ah, I see. Glad I asked because I hadn't thought about that yet. I was wanting to cut my 8' sticks into 4 - 2' sections and then make them as long as possible, but, if I do that, there is a good chance they may not be stackable.. hmm..

To anyone who has made a set, what did you do to ensure they stacked properly?

You could either make two sticks shorter so the standoffs nest between the steps of the longer sticks or leave about 1” on the top or bottom of each stick so that they could be stacked offset (making your step spacing about 22” from top of step to top of step) or move just the stand off so that it wasn’t inline with the steps but this would require another bolt and more weight.

I elected to leave the 1” free on the bottom and stack them offset so that the post wasn’t in your way while standing on the top step. 24” stick with 22”-ish spacing.

You are going to want more. They work great on LW sticks. I am currently using them on LW sticks. I just had to change the bolt length.
 
Slight delay, his shop lost power Friday and part of the weekend. He is going to ship directly once finished so hopefully in a day or two.

All were shipped out and some arrived today. The rest will arrive for you on Monday with a couple as late as Tuesday. Was a nice day today so I got busy finishing mine up.
