I quickly grabbed my Elite Ritual, when I seen a big bodied deer to my left and as soon as I did....that's when I noticed the antlers with those funky brows. I immediately decided to take the shot, when he got parallel to my left side. I came to full draw and that's when he looked up at me. I calmed myself, checked my alignment, settled the pin on his shoulder and squeezed the trigger. At the shot he bolted for the high ground and out of sight. I listened for the crash, but there wasn't one.
I got down and started looking for my arrow, which I did not find. I'll be going back tomorrow to find it, because it passed thru, so it has to be buried in the leaves. Anyway....he went 140+ yards and died on his feet. A very easy to follow blood trail.
The shot was 18 yards with a Magnus Stinger Killer Bee broadhead and he was quartering to me. I hit ahead of the right front shoulder bone and passed thru behind the left side front leg. This is my first buck from my Cruzr XC tree saddle!
