This has been the best deer season I've had in a long time for many reasons.
Got to spend more time with my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, i even babysat so my son could go hunt (will do anytime) and lots of time with friends.
I used to hunt by myself because I did not want to have to meet anyone at lunch, leave cause someone could not stay all day, walk someone to a tree cause they are to lazy to scout and a number of other reasons that many of you can dream of.
In the past I lost friends (so called) because of this thing called deer hunting but now I'm in to hunting with a different angle.
The heck with "I must kill a big one this year", this has definitely left my head and I have true friends that has been around for 25+ years and we have started hunting more and even going on trips fishing and what not. Some of you met Mitch that come to Georgia last year, I got to put him and Seals72 on a good deer that I saw twice the weekend before. Mitch killed the 8 pt and Seals72 popped a BBD (baby buck down) as well. Boy did we give Seals72 a hard time about the BBD.
This season has really been a blast because of all the teasing, practical jokes, long rides and mostly because of the laughs, matter of fact, Seals72 text me and said that I ruined his deer season. I texted back a "?". He replied, "It's no fun hunting by myself."
Can't remember a better season and I thank the good Lord above for my family, my friends, all of our health and my new angle to hunting.
